Unsleeping City Episode 10: Panic at the Art Show

Updated: Sep 15, 2019

A review of Panic at the Art Show from last Tuesday

"Panic at the Art Show" is officially my favorite battle episodes of the series so far. It had a lot of tension and got the hype up for the climax. I was super nervous for half of the fight, as I thought someone was going to die, and I was not ready for that. I was happy for character development we got though, and want to talk about my three favorites of this episode.

First of all, YES! SOFIE! BIKES! The ending of Sophia's mini-arc was so good! Seeing her turn from a depressed divorcee to a strong, widowed, magic monk was a blast. Her delivering the final blow and decimating Isabella Infierno was the most hype moment the series has had since that nat 20 at the end of Prompocalypse.

Kug getting that water tower down lifted all the weight of my shoulders. His relationship with Wally warms my dang heart; I love my rat father! I also love when Kug brings out the rat army as well; Brennan's voice for them is just too adorable to me. By the way, let Perry and Kugrash date 2019!

Pete's character development was super amazing, as well. Him getting over Priya but still saving her was excellent for showing his character progression. It was also interesting to see how the fight would change, considering the recent upgrade his powers got. Pete's life is turning up for the better, and I want to see him happy.

Honestly, everything seems to be looking up for our heroes, so I'm nervous for what Brennan is going to do next. I love Brennan, but he is an absolute sadist with a sole goal of making both his players and the audience depressed with his storytelling. I'm mostly nervous about what he's going to do with Wally, as Wally is beloved by almost the whole fanbase and getting rid of him would be the easiest way to cause drama in the story.

The next episode on Tuesday is a story episode, but from the looks of the preview, it seems to have a lot of comedic moments. I'm interested to see why Pete seemingly shoots an eagle, as that sounds random. I'm ready to hear Ricky talk about hope to who might be one of his firefighter brothers, but we will have to see. Also, Brennan wearing something besides a button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up has got to be one of the biggest twists in the history of Dimension 20.

A reminder that we are only ten days away from the Fantasy High streams premiere! I'm wondering if it will pick up after the live shows, which is around October of the Bad Kids sophomore year, or if there will be a time skip to their junior or even senior year at Aguefort. I would enjoy a time skip as I want to see how the kids look all grown up. If we also get new illustrations of the Bad Kids, I would die of happiness!
